I moved in with my mom, 82, and was going to fix some Jello. I usually put fruit in it, but she didn't have any. All I could find was cherry pie filling. So I put it in and what a hit! Every week when I make Jello now, I put cherry pie filling in it. Everyone loves it.
Here’s my favorite variation made with sugar-free strawberry or raspberry gelatin.
Make your favorite flavor Jello with hot water
Add 1 can of crushed pineapple or other chopped fruit
Add 1 can of cherry pie filling
Crushed pecans to suit your taste
