What's with Wheat and Soy?

By Wendell Fowler

There's a large body of evidence indicating whole grains, and whole wheat in particular, even organic, can contribute to major physical and mental health problems. Wheat is particularly problematic as a result of the wheat germ agglutinin (WGA) it contains.

Up against the wall soy and wheat: you're charged for willfully masquerading as healthy while concealing you're actually destructive to human health. We mustn't believe everything advertising pukes up on us.

Excluding toxic sugar, nearly 70% of all calories in the western diet come from a combination of GMO wheat, dairy, soy and corn. The problem: they're poisonous to our temple and don't advance our health. Instead, these icons increase our weight and then short-change long-term health.

When wheat, the sacred staff of life, was genetically altered to become semi-dwarf wheat in the last century, it was assumed, without testing, that the modifications wouldn't change how it affected the health of those who ate it. The book Wheat Belly reveals modern all purpose flour – including whole wheat – has become so uniquely destructive to multiple body functions that more than 80 percent of us could benefit from giving it up entirely. Forty to 50 percent of us, he says, could see and feel blissful results almost right away. There's a large body of evidence indicating whole grains, and whole wheat in particular, even organic, can contribute to major physical and mental health problems. Wheat is particularly problematic as a result of the wheat germ agglutinin (WGA) it contains.

Both ooze from processed junk foods and each is profoundly inflammatory, immunotoxic and neurotoxic. Over 90% of U.S. soy, including edamame, is genetically manipulated to make it grow faster. It's also altered so its genetic makeup includes Round-Up herbicide. Yep. You're consuming lip-smackin', cancer-causing Round-up which pairs well, by the way, with red wine.

Despite the alleged role of soybeans to a healthy diet, they're among the most common food allergens, reports the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. Soy contains at least 15 potential allergens that may trigger allergic symptoms and nasty side effects. Soy has a potential for creating blood clots. Hemaglutinin in soy may cause red bloods cells to become increasingly sticky and clump together. These clumps are unable to process or transport oxygen across tissue membranes. Soy goitrogenan interrupts thyroid function and iodine metabolism resulting in long-term thyroid problems, and hinder the creation of thyroid hormones.

Manly men! According to 16 various research papers, soy kills testicular tissue. Soy permanently reduces testicular function and lowers hormone production that triggers your testicles to work. Any opinions to contrary have been paid for by the agribusiness giants Monsanto and Archer Daniels Midland. Once public knowledge of their manipulation of public opinion becomes widely known, expect monster class action lawsuits against these thugs and con artists. Karma, baby. Stick with fermented soy foods: tempeh, wheat-free tamari, miso and soy sauce.
